Passwords are an important aspect of computer security.
They are the front line of protection for user accounts.
A poorly chosen password may result in the compromise.
With ongoing technological developments, it is necessary to review the mechanism
governing security, reliability and confidentiality of passwords being used by clients for
accessing internet based trading / bank account and make them as secured as possible
without affecting ease in operations. For this, Asit C Mehta Investment Interrmediates Ltd.
(ACMIIL) has designed this password policy to establish a standard for creation of strong
passwords, the protection of those passwords, and the frequency of change.
 
For all users of our website for accessing trading / client specific information: 


Mandatory changing of password when the user logs in for the first time. 


Automatic disablement of the user on entering erroneous password on 3 consecutive occasions. 


System should not allow the changed password to be the same as the last two passwords. 


Login id of the user and password should not be the same.


Password should be alphanumeric with one special character, instead of just being alphabets or just numerical. 


Password should be of minimum eight characters and not more than twelve characters. 


Passwords will be encrypted at the Server end so that any ACMIIL staff or any one at any point of time cannot view it.
(Based on their client verification process, they would be able to re-generate password) 


Forgot password facility is provided on the website which can be used to unlock/reset the password and generate a new password. 


Anytime password change facility is provided. 


For clients password will automatically expiry on 15th day. Accordingly clients would need to reset / change password. 


Follow below mentioned steps to change the password: - 

Login to your account
Click on My Profile Link
Click on Change Password Link
Enter Old Password
Enter New Password
Confirm the New Password
Click on Submit to complete the process.




Some important precaution that you would like to take in regards to website user id & password. 

Don't reveal a password over the phone to ANYONE. 
Don't reveal a password in an email message. 
Don't talk about a password in front of others. 
Don't hint at the format of a password (e.g., "my family name"). 
Don't reveal a password on questionnaires or security forms. 
Don't share a password with family members. 
Don't reveal a password to co-workers while on vacation.
